Why I made HeadYogi

When headaches bring daily life to a halt, recording your symptoms should take as little effort as possible. That is why I made HeadYogi. You can complete a full entry in under ten seconds, including your medication. At an appointment with your specialist, you have your notes at hand instead of having to recall everything from memory.

I want to make it easier to collect and share reliable information about your symptoms, as something to draw on in the search for a treatment that works for you.

Who it is for

HeadYogi is for:

  • People with migraine or recurring headaches
  • People who want to record their symptoms quickly and regularly
  • People who want to share their records with their doctor or specialist
  • People who want to choose whether to sync their data through iCloud

How it works

Keeping track should take little effort, even on a difficult day. That is why I focus on a short entry process and a report you can share with your specialist.

  • Quickly record attacks and headache-free days
  • Record triggers, medication, relief and severity
  • Overview cards and trends to help spot patterns
  • Reminders and widgets to help you record symptoms regularly
  • Pro: AI analysis, extra articles and reports covering longer periods for your doctor

For the conversation with your specialist

You can look back at when you had symptoms, how severe they were and which medication you used. A HeadYogi report lets you bring that information to your specialist. That is what I am building the app for: recording your experiences and making them easier to discuss during the search for an effective treatment.

Accessibility and inclusion

You can adjust the text size, choose a dyslexia-friendly font and use the app with VoiceOver. The screens have a calm design with limited animation.

Privacy and ethics

Your records are stored on your device. You can choose to enable iCloud sync and share a report with your doctor. You do not need an account to use the app.

If you use the optional AI analysis, your notes and summaries are sent to an external AI provider. Your name, email address and account ID are not sent as separate data fields. The provider does not use the submitted data to train AI models. Do not include personal details in your notes; what you write there is part of the analysis.

HeadYogi shows no ads, does not track you across other apps and websites, and does not sell your data.

Availability and subscription

HeadYogi is free to download for iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 or later. The app is available in Dutch, English, German and Spanish.

HeadYogi Pro offers a monthly or annual subscription. It lets you create reports covering sixty days, ninety days or your full history, among other features. Pro also offers optional AI analysis and extra articles.

Further development

I keep working on making symptoms easy to record and on the report you can share with your specialist. Users’ experiences help me decide what to improve next.
